The GNS Program
Committee is calling for original research, clinical and resident
abstracts to be presented at this year's fall meeting on Saturday,
November 22, 2008 at the Georgia Aquarium.
Practicing
Neurosurgeon Abstracts
will consist of oral presentations (15 minutes + 5 min Q & A) of
original scientific studies (basic, applied, clinical) or of interesting
case reports or clinical studies in neurological surgery.
Presentations will be presented live at the GNS Fall Meeting, November
22.
Resident Abstracts
will consist of
short oral presentations (10 minutes + 5 min Q & A) of the resident's
original research. The Georgia Neurosurgical Society
will be hosting the “Resident Paper Contest” for all residents who are
submitting abstracts. Presentations will be presented live
at the GNS Fall Meeting, November 22. The Best Paper
winner will be recognized with a plaque from the society as well as a
$100 prize.
Each abstract
will be evaluated by a panel of judges and chosen based on design,
originality, and relevance to the needs as expressed in evaluations
completed by attendees of past meetings.
Presenters are encouraged to utilize MS Power Point or Apple Keynote for
LCD projection. Chosen presenters will be asked
to complete speaker forms in a timely manner, requesting a short bio, AV
requirements, Faculty Disclosure in compliance with accreditation of the
meeting. Presenters are also highly encouraged to provide handout
material prior to the meeting to be included with the attendee packets.

When you submit your abstract, please act under the assumption that your
paper will be accepted and plan to attend. You will be informed if your
